In our modern society there are many issues with which even healthy people struggle.  Stress, depression, anxiety, trauma are challenging issues we all need help learning to manage. Mental health issues can eventually lead to physical health issues so having a proactive approach to your mental health is essential. As humans we all respond to events in different ways so we also need unique approaches to help manage them. That is where I come in.

My name is Rhoda Lipscomb. I am a licensed professional counselor and sex therapist with 20 years of experience counseling individuals and couples with many of these challenging issues. Treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual using such approaches as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Rapid Resolution Therapy and Clinical Hypnosis. I believe that individuals have the power to change their lives and my job is to help you find the solutions that best suit your needs. My approach to counseling is empathetic, compassionate, practical, and caring with warmth and a bit of humor.  I work to create an atmosphere of non-judgment and trust so that you feel safe to explore any area of your life.
